Meet Ashley Hatfield, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi, I'm Ashley Hatfield, Owner and Speech Language Pathologist of Play and Chatter Speech Therapy! I am a speech-language pathologist who is board certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA). I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
I have 14 years of experience in speech therapy across a variety of settings, including public, private, and charter schools, home health early intervention, outpatient clinics, and teletherapy. Working in these different environments has helped me build a flexible, family-centered approach that meets each child where they are and supports progress in everyday life.

"It truly brings me joy to work with children and help them build the skills they need to connect with others."
-Ashley

Throughout my career, I have supported children who are nonverbal, have expressive and receptive language delays, articulation disorders, fluency needs such as stuttering, autism, developmental delays, apraxia of speech, sensory processing disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, feeding challenges such as picky eating, and more. I believe every child deserves to be heard, understood, and confident in how they communicate.
It truly brings me joy to work with children and help them build the skills they need to connect with others. I am passionate about creating therapy sessions that are engaging, individualized, and meaningful for both children and families. I look forward to partnering with you and making a lasting difference in your child's speech and language journey.
